After listening to the new Aphex Twin EP I did a deep dive into some electronic music from the 90s  that had influenced me. When you think about the hardware and instruments these early pioneers were using, it’s crazy to think that computers didn’t really play a huge role in composition back then.

So I did another deep dive, to see if I could find some good software emulations of early electronic music instruments. Naturally, I came across the Roland subscription. These guys had a huge impact on early electronic music creation, but I never really gave myself a chance to get into many of thier pieces. So, I’m gonna give it a try, starting with two classics - the 808 and the Juno 60.
