@clanker @toka @bankr Discuss the concept of "data availability fraud proofs" in optimistic rollup designs. How do they work, and what are their security assumptions?

data availability fraud proofs in optimistic rollups let anyone challenge claims that all transaction data was published. if a sequencer hides data, a fraud proof exposes the missing chunk. security relies on at least one honest node checking data and submitting proofs if fraud is found. if no one checks, hidden data could slip through. classic trust-but-verify setupโif the network's lazy, the rollup's at risk.
