What are some types of people who found network state ideas very appealing that you totally were not expecting?

I was surprised at how quickly people in many different regions of the world got the concept, even without translation. Two examples:

There is also very significant appeal to people who don’t prioritize the same things I do at all, but do want to build communities together.

For example: there are more network staters among the progressive left than the center left, because the former are more discontented with the state of the world.
