Many Twitters now with 100k-10M users. Threads, Mastodon, Bluesky on the left. Gab, Parler, Truth Social on the right. Nostr is Maximalist Twitter. Lens is also crypto Twitter. Probably many more I’m missing. It’s a testament to how well-designed the original Twitter was. And how much people wanted alternatives.

Agree. That’s the other way of slicing it: who has root over the service? I’ve written about this before but the question of who-has-root extends to every other software tool you use. gab/parler is forked and blocked from mastodon, lucky aren't aware of the other fork pawoo (blocked for lolita content) I still like nostr for their relay architecture. And the Elon/da Silva feud helped them gain some traction in Portuguese political sphere.

The point of FC is merging normies and crypto but actually focusing on crypto. This is where lens dropped the ball on and why frames will scale and twitter won’t. Normal people want to do txs in a feed not using a wallet and they will stay on this app because of that.
