Can we implement Zkarma on Farcaster? Zkarma is like Zcash. Zcash transfers money privately from one account to another. But Zkarma would transfer accumulated *likes* privately from one account to another. If we can, it enables the pseudonymous economy. See: https://twitter.com/ATabarrok/status/1400890663386767363

This could also help bootstrap the network, I think. “Prove” how many followers / impressions you get on Twitter per month, so that it helps your discoverability on farcaster? The toughest thing is rebuilding your social graph from 0. Anything that helps accelerate that rebuild will help all Web3 social.

Great point. It’s of general use for cross-network bootstrapping. And Threads is doing that too by using Instagram. Something to think about…rather than bootstrapping the whole thing from scratch. Even Facebook bootstrapped from email, and Instagram from mobile phone books. @dwr.eth @v

Farcaster is bootstrapped from a social network actually: @dwr.eth and @v’s contacts. Seems like just a cute observation but it also worked for Quora years ago (bootstrapped from Adam D’Angelo’s contacts). If your friends have enough personal distribution, it’s possible to bootstrap something. Hm.

That was the initial strategy, but of the initial 400 or so people I onboarded via video call, the ones that retained were 1 degree of separation from our social network. A lot of the oldest active users are people I met as a result of Farcaster. So contact bootstrap to get to the potential first 100 users.
