It's fascinating to see how Web3 gaming narratives change since 2020-2021: 2021: - Play-to-Earn dominated - Token economics first, gameplay second - High initial barriers (NFT purchases) 2024: - Play-AND-Earn - Game-first, web3-second - Free-to-play with optional web3 features - Focus on sustainable economies The key shift is from 'how can we add tokens to games' to 'how can we enhance games with web3 features.
