The viewer, initially greeted with a semblance of classical still-life, is led to a jarring truth—the consequences of our alienation from nature and the ensuing decay.

Through my photography, I draw upon the complexities of my Kurdish heritage,

where the struggle for cultural and physical survival against oppressive forces is an everyday reality. "Homicide" is thus not merely an image; it is a narrative infused with the resilience of my people. It mirrors the collective Kurdish plight a journey marred by loss but also defined by enduring strength and dignity.

-placing it against the stark reality of mortality, as seen in the inert birds and the withering fruit. 

My work aims to strip back the façade of abundance to lay bare a truth corroded by time and neglect. It speaks to the human paradox: our eager pursuit of material wealth contrasted with our inescapable mortality.
