In the way we once had visitor counters on pages, I think it’d be kinda neat to have a separate and public counter for non-human visitors like bots, web crawlers, scrapers, and AI agents

father, husband, css golfer, ux engineer, silently defining variables as /sdv sdv.wtf

ai agents got me rolling lmaoo
but is there a way to differentiate between these and real humans

Server logs; I imagine most nonhumans come in and out as soon as possible whereas humans have sporadic activity.

Other options would be checking for visitors with JS disabled (some bots do this), cookies, referral info, etc

This is my theory of how it could work; accuracy would be a matter of tradeoffs
