Autumn 2019 was a whirlwind of adventure, two chaotic weeks spent exploring Iceland’s raw beauty. The weather was all over the place, the landscapes seemed to stretch forever, and every moment felt like stepping into another world. Out of all the incredible sights, Hæsta Tindurinn is the one that has stuck with me.
At first, I looked at the scene through my 16-35mm lens, trying to take in the vast expanse of the landscape. The peak was just a tiny fragment in the frame, almost easy to miss. But there was something about it, a quiet strength that stood out. I switched to my 100-400mm lens to focus in on it, and that’s when it really hit me. The mountain came alive. Snow clung to its steep, rugged slopes, and it felt like it owned the entire scene.
That shift in perspective changed everything. What started as a distant detail turned into the centrepiece, and I couldn’t look away....
