IRL use case of crypto: Devcon, Bangkok. We went for a coffee tasting ☕ everyone wanted to buy the coffee, to be delivered 2ds later. 8 different orders. Total~ USD 600 paid in local cash Thai Baht 🚨 PROBLEM 1: Payment from 8 international people is complex. They only took cash. Even with online/digital payments, it'd be card or bank transfers. Bad exchange rates, blocked cards, bank fees, typos in acct numbers, delays in int. transfers... - Solution: I withdrew & paid it all - Better Solution: Roastery having a wallet address, we all send USDC and they easily swap for a local stablecoin and can offramp 🚨 PROBLEM 2: Get paid by 8 diff people from diff countries? - Best Solution: I created a new @coinbasewallet. They paid in USDC on Ethereum and Base. I didnt have any gas, so I used @matchaxyz gasless (Matcha Auto) and cross chain to swap it all into cbBTC. Low/no fee, instant, private, simple, hastle free. Crypto for the win!
