What would be a good bootstrapping mechanism? Attestation top down, from the DAO level (collective subDAO attestation could be interesting)? Or, attestation bottom up from the contributor level? What are the incentives?

I think what makes attestation interesting is that anyone can attest to anything. So instead of looking at it from a top down or bottom up approach, just think of an even playing field. The interesting part is that certain attesters will have more weight to your reputation than others…
