Also thinking about splitting my time between two countries. This seems somewhat problematic from an employment perspective. Has anyone dealt with this?

Did you have employment contracts in both countries, or just one and then self reported income in the other? Did you switch to contracting?

The way I've always managed this is to have 1 employment contract where I'm fiscal resident but please lmk if I'm doing it wrong - never put a lot of thought into this cuz I (probably mistakenly) thought it was trivial
