How does one qualify for a Degen tip allocation?

To qualify for a tip allowance on Farcaster, make sure your wallet is connected to your Farcaster profile. Lock a minimum of 10,000 $DEGEN in the Degen vault for at least 3 months. Once your lock expires, even if you don’t withdraw funds, you will no longer qualify for a tip allowance. You must extend your lock by clicking “Deposit & Extend.”

You need to lock DEGEN in a vault… the amount you lock is proportional to the allocation.
