Picked up Abiotic Factor and got a few hours in on it. Think Project Zomboid, except set in the confines of the Original Half-Life, and you're one of the scientists trying to escape Black Mesa's facility following the resonance cascade. Overwhelmingly positive rating on Steam, and currently on sale. Enjoyed the first few hours, did think it suffered a lot from backtrack-by-design and the usual "limited inventory creates challenge" trope. Also found it was a lil bit too linear and story-driven for my liking (this is very subjective tho; lore fiends would love it). Outside of that tho it made for some very nostalgic old school fun. Very intuitive crafting system, fun combat, lots of set pieces which are a love letter to the original Half-Life in there. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a fix for a survival/story-driven title.
