Asset management company Bitwise has filed to launch an exchange-traded fund (ETF) for the digital currency Ripple (XRP). The company confirmed the authenticity of the application filed in the state of Delaware. Bitwise's move follows the approval of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) ETFs by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) earlier this year. Ripple is the seventh largest digital currency by market capitalization created by the founders of the Ripple payment platform.
