Trump just had tea with Syria’s new president a former jihadist once wanted by the US with a $10M bounty. Ahmed al-Sharaa, formerly known as al-Qaeda-linked Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, met Trump in Riyadh, six months after seizing power in Damascus. The meeting marks the first US-Syria presidential encounter in 25 years.
