Tensions flared last week as Pakistan and India exchanged their most intense cross-border strikes since 1971. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said the country acted in self-defense and never considered using nuclear weapons, despite calling India’s attack a “wishful attempt” at dominance in Kashmir. Pakistan claims it shot down five Indian jets, including at least one Rafale.
