With the advent of passkeys as a security option, it means I must always own an iPhone from now on. It just dawned on me.

They work on Android and Microsoft devices too. The issue is that your passkey is only linked to one kind of device, if you buy a Pixel phone next, you have to create new passkeys and that sucks for me.

I still don’t get the point of them. If they only work on iPhones or Apple products, why do I need a passkey when you already have faceID?

Redundant and useless.
