America have every right to be afraid and proactive.

Extremist exist in all religion is not a defence, there's a reason everyone will run when "Allah Akbar" is mentioned suddenly in the public space than then other religion terms are mentioned.

The muslim community should fix up within themselves instead of fighting outsiders merely protecting themselves.

over time we've seen the so called "peaceful muslim" defend extremist instead of condemning the act.

I am way more concerned with Christian extremists since they are by far the bigger population therefore the bigger threat in the US
