Studies show that green vegetables have positive effects on the brain because they contain an abundance of lutein. Lutein has antioxidant and neuron-protective properties and therefore strengthens cognitive abilities. Dark green vegetables such as spinach, broccoli and kale are richer in this aspect. Studies show that the higher the level of lutein, the better the cognitive test results and the thicker the gray cortex of the brain.

Eating green vegetables rich in lutein contributes to overall brain health by reducing inflammation and oxidative damage. This can result in improved memory, attention, and overall mental clarity
