For effective use of medical masks, certain hygiene guidelines must be followed. Hands should be thoroughly washed before putting on the mask. The mask should fully cover the nose and mouth, fitting snugly against the face without gaps. While wearing the mask, avoid touching it; if adjustment is necessary, do so using the mask's straps. After use, dispose of or wash the mask properly, and wash hands again.
