A friend once told me about a small, but meaningful experience. One evening, she decided to take a walk through the park near her home to clear her mind. The air was cool, and the sky was turning shades of pink and orange. As she strolled along the path, she saw an older woman struggling to carry several grocery bags. Without thinking twice, she walked over and offered to help. The woman gratefully accepted, and they spent the next few minutes chatting as they walked toward her apartment. When they reached the building, the woman thanked her and smiled warmly, sharing a brief story about how rare kindness felt in her day-to-day life. That short moment reminded my friend of how little gestures could make a difference, and it stuck with her.
