the upside of a streak is it keeps you disciplined to not look away from that keeps you driven, in turn, you stay updated, go through multiple stories/data to write that one interesting cast in the channel every day the downside of a streak is staying disciplined doesn't always convert to staying motivated, so at times, you end up writing a cast to continue the streak in the channel for the sake of it, which translates to "not enough interesting content"

Stay consistent — Keep showing up. Commit to your craft, experiment with new techniques, explore different styles, and challenge yourself to push beyond your comfort zone. Consistency leads to mastery and by showing up every day you'll start to close the gap from where you are to where you want to be. Focus on progress over perfection. — Gunnar Gray

Thoughts on Omnivore shutting down (1/2) Many people enjoyed Omnivore because it was free, but being free was part of its demise. As an independent app maker, you must have a way to generate revenue or your product will die. As a user you must demand a way to pay makers for the products you love. See my essay: "Quality software deserves your hard‑earned cash" https://stephango.com/quality-software I didn't personally use Omnivore, but it seems like many Obsidian users loved it. Now the app is being shut down with only a couple of weeks to export your data. While this is abrupt, it isn't surprising. When a startup runs out of resources, the end is always more sudden than you expect. The dream of making it work persists until the very last moment.

Building custom hooks is a powerful way to abstract and reuse logic in React applications. They help keep your components lean, promote code reuse, and make your application easier to manage.

a Single Point of Failure (SPOF) is a component in your system whose failure can bring down the entire system, causing downtime, potential data loss, and unhappy users Building redundancy is a reliable way to reduce SPOFs. If every part of a system has a backup, the system will keep working even if one part fails. Include as many redundant components in your system as possible. From hardware to software, processes, and people — ensure a backup for every component in every system.

silver is currently outperforming every index, copper is likely to follow the same suit, credit to the growing industrial demand, and if analysts are to be believed, silver has a chance of 4-5x from these levels, and copper, 10x things are happening and changing so fast that gold is now losing an edge as is the case with diamond — lab grown diamonds are bound to take over the market in next few years
