Today, May 26, is the day of red hair! About 2% of the world's population has red hair genetically, and the highest number of redheads is in Scotland with 13% and Ireland with 10%. Every year, thousands of red-haired men and women gather in a town in the Netherlands called 'Breda' and celebrate Red Day.

Redheads feel pain less than others! Research has shown that red-haired humans (and red-haired mice) are less sensitive to pain and have a higher tolerance threshold.
