This has always been the case. This is also why companies that pay top notch focus on the fundamentals than learning the latest framework.

There is a balance. If I were learning to build agents today, I’d learn linear algebra, make my own llm model and learn then fundamentals and ALSO use a framework to prompt my way to a working product.

If you learn react, learn how react was built. plenty of ppl on youtube teaching you inner workings. Or have llms teach you how to inspect the most prominent oss codebases.

Most ppl are going to do the bare minimal, get by. The best products are built by those who know the insides and can operate at a higher tier.
