story time. Sunday evening, ~15 hours before my boarding from Paris I got a weird feeling that something is wrong. Turned out it’s my visa, or its absence. As a holder of one of the weakest passports, I’m privileged to fill in piles of paperwork in order to travel to any country. By some miracle, the lady from the airlines, that I initially called to cancel plane tickets, suggested what if I enter Singapore as transit, meaning that it must be <96 hours and I must go to another country after. We yolo. Watch me the next morning flying 14 hours with 50/50 chances of entering the country. Took an hour to convince the airline stuff to let me on the plane; the week before I sweet-talked the embassy to release my new foreign passport on time.
Crossing the SG border today felt like I’ve won Olympic Games, no less.
Idk if there’s any moral of the story, check your docs before flights, but that’s where I’m casting from: 27 replies
