Feature request: mute channels

Feels like the right time with the meme coin traction. I already unfollowed a bunch of people, but it’s still annoying.

@dwr.eth, @v, it would be great to hear your position on the “mute channels” & “mute keywords” features

You had mentioned they were on your radar ~2 months ago, so perhaps you could tell us if they are being considered for a planned update or not at all?

They appear to be the single most requested features

@dwr.eth @v I think it would also be awesome to be able to create channels that are muted by default, like for games that would obviously just be noise for people not playing. I've had a few ideas that would utilize channels for coordination, but would be too noisy for the way channels are currently in working.

I definitely don’t want to unfollow people because they occasionally partake in degen, farcastles, or whatever the latest fad is; when they contain multitudes and are also insightful and interesting the rest of the time.

I believe the answer was “just unfollow people” and it works to certain extend. But with viral things like ticker you literally can’t get away from it
