Because we care about decentralization, immutability, energy efficiency, programmability, Turing completeness, credible neutrality, trustlessness, unstoppability, transparency, and open source more than we care about price.
Ethereum is building to be the our civilization’s universal ledger. As long as the price is enough to keep the network secure, any upside is icing on the cake
