Barely 48 hours after the flawless Pectra upgrade and the EIP–7251 MaxEB implementation, and already 1% of all the staked ETH sits in compounding validators (those that upgraded to a 0x02 address). Interestingly, those make up only 0.12% of all active validators, because ~100 of them are whales that have consolidated all of 2,048 ETH (the ceiling) per validator, skewing the average. And there are nearly twice as many consolidation requests still being processed in the queue (~2,500 pending vs. ~1,300 completed). This will take a load off the P2P layer as expected.
