does anyone else have this problem where literally every alarm clock they’ve used has failed them at some point? I bought a physical one about a week ago and even that has failed me. The thing is, alarm clocks are the sort to need 100% reliability.

yeah, I like them because it lets me keep good sleep hygiene with keeping my phone outside the bedroom

That’s a very healthy habit! I have my phone set to turn itself to Silent mode and activate the grayscale color filter in the evening, so I get fewer temptations to pick it up.

Also, the best alarm clock I ever had was a silent Philips one that emulated dawn light, from pitch dark to full brightness over the course of 30 minutes (with a gentle alarm at the end in case you still don’t wake up). It helps your body wake up naturally
