Throughly enjoying Anthony Bourdain’s Kitchen Confidential. I got it as an audiobook because it was narrated by the author, and it felt like a first-hand testament of the greatness of the author. His storytelling is rambunctious and raw, as I imagine he was himself. I don’t often listen to audiobooks (I find it hard to focus on the content and not be distracted by visual stimuli) but in this case I recommend it.

The funny thing is, after Bourdain’s death, I wished I had met the guy. But then he absolutely shreds vegetarians in his book (and I’m a vegetarian). So as much as I’d have enjoyed meeting him, he would not have enjoyed meeting me
