This has got to be some sort of dirty war, there's no way statistics is on the side of four plane crashes on a week.

J2 8243 (not 28243 as the tweet says) was literally an act of war, even if unintended, given that the aircraft was shot down. The rest is just the clustering illusion in action with no common causal factors across those other accidents (other than, perhaps, the bad weather and a record month for the number of flights) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clustering_illusion

Even if that's the case for this week's events, haven't there been many notable plane crashes this year? Imo planes seem like a desirable target, given the potential damage and widespread alarm you can cause at very little cost. Not saying accidents never happen, but this year's seems like a disproportionate cluster
