is wisdom bounded?

fork the universe: in one version a person lives to be 1,000. in another, 100. can the former posses 10x the wisdom of the later?

This is one of those questions where linguistic imprecision makes answering more difficult. I looked it up and most definitions of "wisdom" revolve around the ability to use knowledge and experience to make good decisions and judgments. 1/3

Knowledge has a half-life and decays over time (e.g., half of the stuff I learned in business school 25 years ago is no longer relevant today). Experience is also very contextual (e.g., that of being a serf plowing the fields in Medieval Europe is of limited use in 21st-century urban life). 3/3

Ergo, wisdom as derived from knowledge and experience also suffers from decay and contextual irrelevance as the world outgrows it, even if it may keep growing at a net positive rate with infinite longevity.

Which is a long-winded way of saying that there is timeless wisdom (which accumulates over a long lifetime) and time-dependent wisdom (which decays/expires at some point).

That being said, I would argue that both knowledge and experience don't accumulate linearly over time, and thus the short answer to your question is likely "no". Why? 2/3
