I guess it’s in their interest to draw out the airdrops for as long as possible, because free tipping is what sustains the token’s utility. We haven’t even started tapping into the 25% allocation for airdrop #3 yet based on https://www.degen.tips/tokenomics 100 $degen

100% I agree but i was curious if there’s clarity and how many tips have been given out relative to there 20% allocation in airdrop 2

The site says that 3.95% were distributed in season 1 out of the 20% for airdrop 2. That leaves 16.05%. Assuming seasons 2 and 3 were ~comparable to season 1, there'll be ~8.15% left for season 4 and beyond. Since the allocations will be smaller going forward, that leaves room for at least three seasons (2.7% each).

That's speculative, of course, but I don't imagine the team wants to reveal the full schedule, so they keep some flexibility & discretion going forward So that's another 3 months min of airdrop 2. Then if airdrop 3 proceeds at the same pace, that's another 9 months to reach 25%. So we have a full year of tipping ahead
