We're at the stage I think of as pointillist spring. All the ephemeral wildflowers are rushing out of the ground to flower before the canopy closes in, and in their rush, as you can see, accidents do happen. https://i.imgur.com/dGmlBjY.jpg

Last shot is of some flowering scrub oaks that were scheduled for herbicide last year, but the crew fell behind, I guess. I presume this is their last spring.
