What's a storage unit?

Farcaster requires that every user has storage units to preserve casts, reactions and follows. Storage purchased before 28th August 2024 have the capacity for the following and will be valid for 2 years:

5000 casts
2500 follows
2500 reactions
Storage purchased after 28th August 2024 has the capacity for the following and will be valid for 1 year:

2000 casts
1000 follows
1000 reactions
Each storage unit is valid for a year and currently costs ~$3 (paid in ETH).
