1. Tariffs without an end goal.

I agree Trump’s tariffs have showed China they need access too our economy but it needs a natural end. I don’t think Mr Trump will accomplish a favorable transpacific trade deal 

2. Tax plan

His tax cuts exacerbated the inflation we just experienced with corporations taking home the big check and working class getting shafted. I fear the cuts, along side tariffs may encourage more greedflation further hurting the consumer.

Here is a great thread on Tariffs. I’ll start where it gets meaty. Point is to encourage more production at home and use it as a negotiator. JD Vance said in his Joe Rogan podcast he’s not a huge fan of them. Generally Trump talks in hyperbole and delivers policy moderately.

This isn’t just a patriotic pitch; it’s an economic boost to American industries that have been undercut by cheaper imports for years.

Tariffs encourage consumers to buy products made by U.S. workers, in U.S. factories, which translates into stronger demand, more jobs, and even potentially higher wages in manufacturing and other critical sectors.
