While this is a fun idea this is a massive power grab from newsom. The idea of not paying tariffs to the federal government. 

The tariffs are unconstitutional.

Reasonable federal leadership would bring CA leadership to the table and do basically all in it's power to appease, again with reason, the 5th largest economy in the world and most populous state in the union. Unfortunately it is fairly apparent we don't have reasonable federal leadership.
A fracturing union is not good. The president should do something about that...
