Capitalism does breed innovation. However what we have isn’t pure capitalism. This is kleptocratic bureaucratic gerontocratic capitalism.

But also, we are only in this position because car companies to offset cost moved a large percentage of labor to a foriegn country to exploit their labor all while pumping out a new model each year that's marginally different from the year before

Because the government allowed them to be net parasitic to us.. because the government was purchased by capitalist.
