Something I don’t understand about market optimists right now:

Unemployment is increasing. Historically, once that starts it’s extremely rare for it to stop without a recession. What am I missing?

You're missing debt to gdp. Everyone is. This economy is fueled by debt. All these fiscal numbers are different right now. I have been looking at these numbers closely since 2022 and I think we have never lived in a time like this with modern records. See Germany 1920's. This is currency collapse territory. Also Tech is reducing the need for employees. I just think we are expecting 1990s metrics to mature in 2020 and we are in a completely different environment.
