My ex-boyfriend comes from a rich family. His parents promised him an apartment and a car for graduation. I thought we were serious, I was thinking about proposing. But he decided to break up. When we broke up, he said it would've been different if I wasn't a simpleton. His parents didn't want a bride with nothing to show for it. It was very painful.
