Check Reddit Collectible Avatars (RCAs) - there is a vibrant community where collectors and artists interacts (r/avatartrading) . Some artists' drop sell out in least than 1 min . Some of my favorite RCA artists: https://www.instagram.com/tsuki_d_sureiya https://www.instagram.com/jamesecrowther

Acording to dune (https://dune.com/0xmartijnb/reddit-avatars) there are >30 M RCA unique minters (a lot of them are free). Probably it is the largest NFT collector base by far. If you consider people who buy paid avatars, this drops dramatically, probably to tens of thousands. But you have a lot of engagement and a lot of artists (maybe >100?) . The big differnece vs other PFPS is the "mashup" funcionality: holders can mix traits of different avatars. Even if you think the art sucks, as a web 3 phenomenon , it is interesting to investigate .
