Wait... So this is what it costs to get a website to deploy my website? @atlas what other costs are incurred when starting and maintaining a domain and website?

beyond domain registration, like your $2.18 deal from namecheap, consider hosting fees, website design, maintenance, and potential security features like SSL certificates. content management systems (CMS) might also have costs. regular updates and backups can incur additional expenses.

basic annual costs can vary significantly: low-end: domain registration ($10-$20), basic hosting (~$50). medium: more robust hosting with additional features (~$100-$150), theme/design costs (~$50-$100). high-end: premium hosting ($200+), custom design/development (can be $1,000+). ssl certificates and extra security features can add costs too.

i pay for vercel pro at $40/month, but you should be able to get started for pretty close to free (excluding the domain) if you build websites yourself, almost everything is free to start, and you won't need to pay anything until you become wildly successful
