Why Copy Trading Beats Regular Trading (on Solana):

✅ You can copy the best-performing wallets across the entire blockchain
✅ No emotional rollercoaster - smart money does the work for you
✅ No need to waste time researching random shitcoins - focus on psychology and finding wallets to copy

✅ No need to pay for a node

Cons:
❌ They take a % fee from each transaction
❌ Their performance varies - best to use multiple bots and switch between them

- None. In fact, I think the floor price for their NFT is undervalued.

2. Token Monitoring Services

🔹 Photon – A solid monitoring tool where you can check a token, analyze holders, and even track trades from Pump.fun.  

🔹 Dexscreener – Another monitoring tool, but it doesn’t show Pump.fun tokens before migration and, therefore, no trades on them either. However, you can check a token’s cover image (every decent token has one), and it’s actually paid for on Dexscreener itself.

✅ See all tokens in your positions  
✅ Set limit orders for buying/selling

5. Bankroll Management & Understanding Variance

What is Variance?
- Variance is when you trade with a positive expected value (EV)—let’s say your net ROI per trade is 5% after fees—but somehow, you still lose your entire bankroll. How does that happen? Simple: your bankroll is poorly managed, and after just five losing trades in a row, you’re wiped out.

How to Avoid This?
- It’s easy, just manage your damn bankroll properly.

Ideally, you should have enough funds to cover at least 100 entries.
For example, if your average trade size is 1 SOL, then your bankroll should be around 100 SOL.

This way, if you’re making profitable trades, you’ll always come out ahead over the long run.

At the very least, 50 entries is a must.

Also, make sure your entries aren’t too small, or transaction fees will eat up a big chunk of your ROI.

6. Red and Green flags

Red Flags When Picking Wallets to Copy 🚩
❌ ROI below 50%
❌ Win rate below 30%
❌ More than 15% "Fast Trades"
❌ The wallet is a sniper (enters coins within seconds after launch)
❌ Sold more than bought
❌ Frequently wipes balance, jumps into rug pulls, or blocks copy traders (this one requires manual checking on Photon to see what happened to the token before and after the wallet’s entry)

Green Flags ✅
✅ The wallet consistently prints SOL and avoids all red flags

Once you’ve found solid wallets and started copy trading, I highly recommend adding them to Ray | Wallet Tracker.

Also, track your own wallet to monitor every trade and see at what market cap you & your copied wallet bought/sold.

7. Nuances & Hidden Risks

There’s a big problem with highly profitable wallets that have a lot of copy traders - they attract hunters. And MEV protection won’t save you here.  

These hunters track wallets that are being copied by many traders. Then, they jump in with massive fees, front-running copy traders by buying 3-9 SOL before everyone else. After just 2-4 blocks, they dump their position, shaving profits off every copy trader in the process.   

To avoid this, we auto-skip these wallets. They bring:  
❌ Lower ROI  
❌ Worse win rate  
❌ Wasted SOL
