Polymarket recently suffered a governance attack in which a major UMA token holder exploited their voting power to manipulate the oracle and force false market settlements for profit. The attacker, controlling 5 million tokens across three accounts, accounted for 25% of the total votes. Polymarket has acknowledged the issue and is working on measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
