warpcast channels are moving to a "invite only" model and today is when the change goes live today around 1pm PST.

that's a possible consequence, sure. generally it gives channel hosts absolute control over who casts inside. if they want spam, they'll get spam.

but spam bots don't get to make that choice for us any more.
