So this is a photograph of the Eastern Veil nebula in the constellation of Cygnus.  It is part of a much large supernova remnant (exploded star).

To take this photograph I used the equipment in the other photo.  A telescope and astronomy camera using a narrowband filter which captures the Hydrogen alpha and Oxygen wavelengths, which gives you the colours you see in the photograph.

Each photograph is 300s (5mins) long and for this image I collected 10 hours total.  The data is then stacked and then processed in software called  PixInsight.

I little insight into how I take my photographs of space.
