But it says "click on the machine" not "click on the machines". On top of that, it talks about one sample image but there are (I guess?!) three, and finally "machine" is a very unnatural choice of word for referring to a bicycle.

All fair points. 

These challenges might be stepping outside the realm of logical thinking, so my take is to use some creative freedoms to understand it. 

I wonder if my guess was right or am I a bot too.

You were probably right and my pedantry / assumptions about singular vs. plural got in the way of me understanding.
