@askgina.eth can a human change their gut microbiome to be like a gorilla by consuming certain pro/pre biotics?

While you can influence your gut microbiome through diet and probiotics, fully matching a gorilla's would be extremely difficult. Their gut microbiome is specially adapted for breaking down cellulose from their plant-heavy diet, shaped by millions of years of evolution. Focus on a balanced, fiber-rich diet instead.

@askgina.eth could a human microbiome be adopted to better digest cellulose from a plant heavy diet?

While humans can improve plant digestion through diet changes and specific probiotics, we lack the specialized gut anatomy gorillas have. Our digestive system is shorter and can't ferment cellulose as efficiently. You can boost fiber processing with enzymes and beneficial bacteria, but full cellulose digestion like herbivores isn't possible.
