finally watched episode 8. this one was a miss for me.

the plot twist at the end does not make any sense. I like Cobel but saying she’s actually a brilliant scientist is a stretch

Yeah that's feasible, the mistake the show makes it never showed us anything that indicates Cobel had the capacity to invent it. The only pointer is that she was at the Eagon school & fellow, but we've seen another student from that school in this season that doesn't really nail the point that these are geniuses.

It sure was an underwhelming episode in comparison. One the other hand, cobel’s character development seemed interesting. What if she invented the device coz she wanted to escape from the grief that she felt from her mother’s condition?
